Little EGO V2 Plus Rotary Tattoo Machine in Black by Bez

The Little EGO V2 Plus improves on its predecessor with a perfectly balanced, ergonomic design for comfort and maximum needle control. This design allows for a pen-like grip to eliminate wrist pain and for ultimate control during operation. The incredibly lightweight V2 Plus is manufactured from special UV coated high-grade plastics with scratch-resistance, lending itself to easy and hygienic maintenance.

This machine features a high precision German-made Faulhaber motor and an improved, stronger vice. The V2 Plus also features a new patent-pending rail system designed to significantly reduce noise and vibration. This machine utilizes Bez’s signature “Power Triangle” system, which allows artists the versatility of a coil machine with the reliability and consistency of rotary machines. This system mimics the spring system from coil machines — with a variety of different colored power triangles, each with a different rubber density, artists can efficiently configure the give and throw of their Ego V2 Plus.

The Little EGO V2 Plus tattoo machine comes in a protective case and includes power triangles in multiple colors, a synthetic lube syringe, operation manual, and warranty card.

Highly Recommended Rotary
A simple and light design that makes for a great everyday machine. The Ego little V2 is very versatile and easy to adjust to from coil machines. I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a well made, light-weight rotary machine that works for all types of artists at all skill levels.

Awesome Machine...
This machine quickly became my workhorse. I now own an EGO V1 and an EGO V2; both machines are superior rotaries.

Pros for V1 & V2:
Light weight, less wrist strain.
Great packing and shading capabilities.
Feels like a marker rather then a machine.

Pros for V2:
Less vibration.
Better vice.

Cons for V1 & V2:
Plastic body, and that's it so far...

Great machine with a slight drawback unless you have multiple machines
Well in 2012, I wasn't able to tattoo for a little over 6 months... I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and using coils had inflamed my wrist so bad that the doctors wanted me to have surgery...

Well I couldn't go through with it because I then wouldn't be able to tattoo or draw anymore... I started therapy for my wrist... When it started getting better, I tried to tattoo again, but it was unbearable. I couldn't go more than 15 minutes tattooing... I thought I was done, but then my friend told me about rotaries and the pros of using them, so I started researching.

I then found out about the EGO and bought it. It was the best investment I had ever done! It is so lightweight and ergonomic, I was able to do entire tattoos again without my hand wearing out on me.

The only drawback is that I'm lazy, lol, and changing out the triangles is a pain for me sometimes just because to me, I just want to get into the tattoo and start working on it... but it can be easily remedied by having at least 2 more machines setup for certain things.

But all in all it is a great machine that should be tried out, and you can figure out which are the best triangle system settings for you!!!

Threading

What Are Threads?

Body Jewelry that has an end ball that screws on and off have threads.  This body jewelry includes straight barbells, curved (bent) barbells, circular barbells, and labret jewelry.  A thread is a spiral ridge that winds either internally or externally around the metal like that on a bolt or the inside of a nut.

What is the difference between Internal and External?

Externally threaded body jewelry has the thread on the end of the barbell, external to the shaft, and it is placed inside a threaded hole in the ball. When externally threaded jewelry is being passed through the piercing, the threads also pass through it, and then the ball is screwed into place.

 Externally Threaded Jewelry

Internally threaded body jewelry has a threaded hole inside the barbell, internal to the shaft and then an external thread protruding from the ball. When internally threaded jewelry is being passed through a piercing, a smooth barbell passes through the piercing, and then the ball is inserted and screwed into place.

Internally Threaded Jewelry

How to know which pieces of Jewelry Thread Together?

Each piece of jewelry has a thread pattern. Common thread patterns are found in the following table. Please note that these thread patterns are the most common for PAINFUL PLEASURES jewelry; however you must look at each piece of jewelry to determine what the actual thread pattern is.  A 0.9mm internally threaded ball or gem top will thread onto a 0.9mm internally threaded shaft. A 0.9mm internally threaded ball or gem will NOT thread onto a 0.8mm internally threaded shaft, make sense?

You also must be sure to look at not only the thread pattern but the gauge indicated.  10g through 00g that are Internally Threaded MAY have the same 2.0mm thread pattern. A 2.0mm Internally Counterbored ball meant for a 00g barbell will fit onto a 10g shaft; however the shape of the ball is meant for a 00g barbell. The same goes for all other gauges, so be cognizant when picking ends for your jewelry.

If you are not sure if two pieces will fit together, check the threading pattern.  If a listing doesn’t have a threading pattern listed, email us at support@painfulpleasures.com, we’ll update the listing and let you know.

The following table has common thread patterns found on PainfulPleasures jewelry. This is just a guide, you should check each piece of jewelry before checking out!

Common Thread Patterns on Custom Jewelry

Unlike PainfulPleausures Non-Custom Jewelry, Custom Jewelry often has threading identified with a number-dash-number (#-#).  The first number identifies the size of the thread and the second number refers to the number of threads per inch.  The thread pattern Internal "000-120" fits with jewelry with an Internal 0.9mm thread pattern. The rest of the thread patterns below will only fit with other items with the same respective thread pattern (i.e. Internal "0-80" Threading will only fit with other jewelry with the same Internal "0-80" Threading). Please Note: Internal thread patterns may vary due to the custom manufacturer/machinist, please refer to the product description for actual thread patterns used.

Thread Pattern Thread Type Gauge
000-120 Internal Often 18g, 16g, Typically fits with Internal 0.9mm Jewelry
1.2mm Internal 14g
0-80 Internal Often 12g, 10g, 8g
2-56 Internal Often 6g, 4g
4-40 Internal Often 6g, 4g, 2g
8-32 Internal Often 0g, 00g, 11mm, 13mm
